1. We love the German Shorthaired Pointer breed, and we follow the AKC's guidelines on responsible breeding
Breeding GSPs is something we truly enjoy - it is NOT our full time job. We will never "over-breed" our dogs, because we care about doing things the right way and doing what's best for them and the GSP bloodline.
2. We've invested in and maintain clean kennels - and our dogs get PLENTY of exercise
Our dogs require a lot of attention and care. When they aren't napping in our spacious kennels, they are out and about, roaming our 70 acre farm. When it's hunting season, we have them out pointing birds as often as we can. And occasionally, they get to come inside and lay by the fire!
3. We believe each and every puppy needs proper socialization
A lot of breeders have a litter of puppies, and those pups don't get exposed to the world until they're picked up to go home (or they're in an environment that is "too much too quick").
We take extra care to ensure young pups are socialized the right way - Plenty of time with mom and siblings in the early days, play time outside, exposure to other dogs, and eventually long walks through the field, woods, and other "new" environments.
